25 Roads Closed as of 12 Noon Monday

As of 12:00 noon Monday, November 18, 2024, a total of 25 road closures were reported due to the effects of Tropical Cyclones Nika, Ofel, and Pepito, affecting several national roads of Luzon.

In a report to Public Works and Highways Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, the DPWH-Bureau of Maintenance (DPWH-BOM) identified more road closures in the Cordillera Administrative Region, Regions 1, 2, 3, and 5:

1. Banaue-Hungduan-Benguet Boundary Road in Tukucan, Tinoc, Ifugao due to landslide.
2. Banaue-Hungduan-Benguet Bdry Road, Poblacion, Hungduan, Ifugao due to soil collapse.
3. Nueva Vizcaya-Ifugao-Mt Province Road, Hucab, Kiangan, Ifugao due to soil collapse.
4. Nueva Vizcaya-Ifugao-Mt Province Road Intermittent sections and in Barangay Viewpoint, Banaue, Ifugao due to soil collapse/mud flow.
5. Mt Province Bdry-Calanan-Pinukpuk-Abbut Road, Ambato and Langso, Bangad section in Tinglayan, Kalinga due to soil collapse.
6. Cong Andres Acop Cosalan Road, Sitio Sayokong, in Barangay Adaoay and Sitio Bongis in Barangay Gusaran, Kabayan, Benguet due to soil collapse.
7. Kennon Road, Sito Camp 2 Barangay Twin Peaks and Sitio Camp 5, Tuba, Benguet due to soil collapse.
8. Benguet-Nueva Vizcaya Road, Sitio Labas, Pito Bokod, Benguet due to soil collapse.
9. Gov. Bado Dangwa National Road, Ay-ay, Ampusongan, Bakun, Benguet due to soil collapse.
10. Cong. Andres Acop Cosalan Road, Baculongan Sur, Buguias, Benguet due to soil collapse.
11. Mt. Province – Nueva Vizcaya Road, Ab-Ab section in Bayyo, Vanggo Section in Talubin, Bontoc, Mountain Province due to soil collapse and mudslide.
12. Jct Talubin-Barlig- Natonin- Paracelis- Calaccad Road, K0419+500- K0419+562 and K0421+750-K0421+790, Mountain Province due to soil collapse.
13. Pangasinan-Nueva Vizcaya Road, Barangay Malico, San Nicolas, Pangasinan due to soil collapse.
14. Cagayan-Apayao Road, Itawes Overflow Bridge 1 and 2, Sta Barbara, Piat, Cagayan due to scoured bridge approach.
15. Papaya-Malabing-Wangal-Binugawan-Tadji Runruno Road, Barangay Tadji, Kasibu, Nueva Vizcaya due to landslide.
16. Bambang-Kasibu-Solano Road, Nueva Vizcaya due to landslide.
17. Daang Maharlika-Jct. Malasin Road, Barangay Lamo, Dupax del Norte, Nueva Vizcaya due to fallen trees.
18. Jct. Nat'l Road-Bit-Bel-Nueva Vizcaya Boundary Road, Barangay Bitnong, Dupax del Norte, Nueva Vizcaya due to landslide.
19. Cordon-Aurora Bdry Road (Jct Dumabato- Aurora Bdry), Barangay Sangbay, Nagtipunan, Quirino due to damaged road slope protection, fallen trees.
20. NRJ Villa Sur-San Pedro-Cabua-an-Ysmael-Disimungal Road, Barangay Villa Sur, Maddela, Quirino due to soil slope collapse, and fallen utility posts.
21. A. Castañeda-Ma. Aurora-San Luis Road K0194+000 - K0201+000 in Aurora due to fallen trees, utility posts, and other debris.
22. Baler - Casiguran Road, Barangay Simbahan, Dinalungan, Aurora due to road cut and washed out drainage.
23. Nueva Ecija- Aurora Road, Barangay Labi and Calaanan, Bongabon, Nueva Ecijadue to flooding and debris flow.
24. Catanduanes Circumferencial Road, Barangay Mavil, Bagamanoc, Catanduanes due to landslide.
25. Baras – Gigmoto – Viga Road, Barangay Sicmil in Gigmoto, Barangay Botinagan and Suboc in Viga, Catanduanes due to landslide, fallen trees and utility posts.

The following roads also remain closed to light vehicles due to flooding and fallen trees:

1. Jct Pinagpanaan-Rizal-Pantabangan Road, Barangay Del Pilar, Rizal, Nueva Ecija, passable to heavy vehicles only due to flooding.
2. San Jose City-Rizal Road via Pinili-Porais-Villa Joson (Palarilla) Road, Barangay Porais and Palestina in San Jose City, Nueva Ecija, passable to heavy vehicles only due to flooding and fallen trees.

The DPWH is committed to restoring connectivity quickly to help communities recover and ensure the smooth delivery of essential goods and services.

Crews are clearing debris and repairing damage to reopen roads affected by recent typhoons.
