An all-weather concrete road in the mountainous terrains of Barangay Camating, Tudela, Misamis Occidental was completed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), paving the way for the smoother delivery of locally-grown agricultural products of farmers.

Citing a report submitted by DPWH Region 10 Director Lilibeth N. Aparecio, DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan said that the project was carried out to provide a reliable road network that allows safe travel for locals, mostly belonging to the indigenous Subanen tribe.

Costing ₱99.3-million, the project covers the paving of a bumpy, two-lane road spanning 8.4-lane kilometers.

“The concrete paved road further improved agricultural productivity in the province and stimulated local economy, in line with President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr.’s Bagong Pilipinas initiative,” said Secretary Bonoan.

Completed in January 2025, the project funded under the 2024 General Appropriations Act (GAA) was implemented by DPWH Misamis Occidental 2nd District Engineering Office.
