DPWH-X Now ISO Certified

Launching its journey towards ISO Certification last December 2, 2015, the Department of Public Works and Highways Region 10 rejoiced upon given the verdict of becoming ISO Certified last June 23, 2016.

Series of thorough trainings, seminars, assessments, internal audit were undertaken by the office before the Anglo-Japanese-American (AJA) Registrars’ Auditor, Kevin Castillon, paid a visit to give the final judgement.

ISO 9001:2008 Certification Expanded

A total of 54 Offices - all fifteen (15) offices at the Head Office, seventeen (17) Regional Offices, the five (5) Unified Project Management Offices (UPMO) along with seventeen (17) pilot District Engineering Offices, of the Department of Public Works and Highways are now certified against the requirements of International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2008 standards after the expansion of the implementation of the Department’s Quality Management System. DPWH Head Office, 17 Regional Offices, 17 District Engineering Offices and Unified Project Management Offices Now ISO:2008 Certified

Staying true to its commitment to deliver services of international standards – a total of 54 offices of the Department of Public Works and Highways are now certified against the requirements of International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2008 standards after 35 new offices were awarded certification for the Department’s Quality Management System.

ISO 9001:2008 Certification is an accreditation conducted by external certification bodies to ensure that an organization performs their inter-related processes with international standards.

Nueva Vizcaya 2nd District Engineering Office Celebrates DPWH’s 118Th Founding Anniversary

Personnel of DPWH-Nueva Vizcaya 2nd (NVSDEO ) District Engineering Office headed by District Engineer RONALD P. REYES celebrated the 118th Anniversary of the agency with the theme “Serbisyo Tungo Sa Patuloy Na Pagbabago” at Malasin, Dupax del Norte Nueva Vizcaya simultaneously with the national celebration of the agency held at the Head Office in Manila.

As part of the celebration, NVSDEO Staff and Personnel joined forces to come up with some worthwhile activities for the said undertaking including a “Fun Run” from Lamo Bridge along DM – Jct. Lamo-Malasin Road to DPWH NVSDEO.

CDO 1st District Inaugurates New Building

A blessing and inauguration ceremony of the new building commenced last June 25, 2016 at the DPWH Cagayan de Oro 1st Engineering District. This was attended by Honorable Secretary Rogelio L. Singson, RD Evelyn T. Barroso, ARD Efren A. Berba, CDO 1st DE Yolanda T. Egam, CDO 1st ADE Evelyn A. Tirado, District Engineers, Assistant District Engineers, Division Chiefs and the rest of the staff and personnel.

The Department of Public Works and Highways Region VIII is committed to quality and excellence in delivering services of international standards as it is now ISO (International Organization for Standardization) 9001:2008 Certified.

Lucena Bridge Closed to Traffic Due to Bridge Works

Iyam Bridge along Lucena Diversion Road in Barangay Domoit, Lucena City, Quezon Province will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic due to reconstruction and widening activities.

In an advisory report to Secretary Rogelio L. Singson from the Department of Public Works and Highways Regione 4-A Director Samson L. Hebra, Iyam Bridge will be closed to traffic effective 7:00 PM of June 22, 2016 to give way for the launching works of girder.

DPWH Builds 708 School Buildings for Ilocos Region

Hundreds of thousands of Ilocano students are now utilizing 708 new school buildings completed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

In his report to DPWH Secretary Rogelio L. Singson, DPWH Region 1 Director Melanio C. Briosos said since 2013. The regional office and its ten (10) District Engineering Offices (DEOs) were able to complete 406 school buildings under “School and Regular School Building Program” of the Department of Education (DepEd).
