Permanent Congressional Ave. Extension Bridge Office Opens Dec 4

The new Congressional Avenue Extension Bridge in Quezon City will be open to vehicular traffic on Friday, December 4, 2015.

The Department of Public Works and Highways - National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) has completed the P23 million bridge replacement project ahead of schedule which is originally slated January 2, 2016.

According to DPWH-NCR Director Melvin B. Navarro, the 19.2 lineal meter bridge will be fully open in both eastbound and westbound direction. The remaining activity on the center island but will not affect traffic flow in the area, is to be completed by December 15, 2015.

“All types of vehicle, including trucks that were previously prohibited to use the temporary Congressional Avenue Extension Bridge can now utilize the newly completed permanent bridge,” said Navarro.

Meanwhile, DPWH will also undertake reblocking and road repair effective 10 PM of December 4, Friday to 5 AM of December 7, Monday in two (2) sections of Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) in Quezon City.

Reblocking will cover Aurora Boulevard to P. Tuazon St, Service Road (1st lane from sidewalk, Southbound lane) and from New York Street to K-10 Street (2nd lane from sidewalk, Northbound).
