
The first batch of Comprehensive Training for Provisional Accreditation of DPWH Field Engineers seminar has six participants from Regional Office 7 who landed on the top ten of the examination: 2nd place—Dennis A. Tumala of Siquijor DEO, 6th Place—Arian A. Casquejo of DPWH RO 7, Nilo L. Peledingue of Bohol 1st DEO, 9th place—Mon Carlo D. Frejoles of Negros Oriental 1st DEO and 10th place—Raymond L. Cataluna of DPWH RO7 and Annevic B. Gargar of Negros Oriental 1st DEO.
The First Batch of Comprehensive Training was conducted last April 11, 2016 to May 6, 2016 at the DPWH Regional Office 7 while Batch II was done last May 16, 2016 to June 10, 2016 while Batch III is currently on-going. Each batch is participated by more or less forty (40) engineers. The 21-day training covers various aspects of project implementation such as design, construction methods, materials quality control, construction supervision and management, road works safety and worksite traffic management. After the theoretical lessons, the participants undergo an On-the–Job Training (OJT) for six (6) days where they are exposed to the field to evaluate certain projects.
An intellectual exercise is conducted to gauge the learning's acquired by the participants.
