Leyte 4th District Engineering Office Attains 63.65% Completion of 2016 Projects

The Department of Public Works and Highways Leyte 4th District Engineering Office attained 63.65% accomplishment rate on its 2016 projects as of June 30, 2016, ahead by 2.77% of the 60.88% target. This was bared by District Engineer Lino Francisco Gonzalez at a press conference held at his office.

Projects that were began and above 20Million are targeted to finished in Sept. 30, 2016 even as some of them face delays such as the four-kilometer Balugo-Mahayahay road concreting worth P47 million and Palanas flood control. Both projects in neighbouring Albuera town are encountering right-of-way problems.

The P30 million worth of farm-to-market roads (FMR) from the Agriculture Department are almost complete. The biggest allocation of P10 million goes to the 927-meter San Dionisio-Masaba FMR in Matag-ob town. The rest of the P20 million are distributed to 10 other barangays at P2 million each.

These are in Magaswe and San Jose, both in neighboring Merida town; Libertaad in neighboring Kananga town; Canuhaon-Antipolo FMR in Palompon town; as well as RM Tan, Guintigui-an, Bantigue, Nasunogan, Alta Vista-Patag and Salvacion proper to Sitio Cabugao, all in Ormoc.
