Friday, July 18, 2025

As of 6:00 am Friday, July 18, 2025, two (2) national road sections in Antique and Southern Leyte are not passable to all types of vehicles while one (1) road section in Camarines Sur has limited access due to the combined effects of Southwest Monsoon and Tropical Cyclone Crising.

In a report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, the DPWH Bureau of Maintenance identified the impassable portion of Iloilo-Antique Road due fallen trees in Barangay Carit-an, Patnongon, Antique and another road in Southern Leyte which was identified as the San Ricardo-Bilatan Road in Barangay Camang, San Ricardo, due to soil erosion and fallen trees.

Meanwhile, the Tinambag-Siruma Road, K0522+000 in Camarines Sur is flooded and only passable to heavy vehicles.

DPWH has installed warning signs along the affected national road sections and is now conducting clearing operations.

Days prior, DPWH Secretary Bonoan activated the Department’s Disaster and Incident Management Teams in the forecasted path of Crising covering Cordillera Administrative Region, Regions 1, 2, 3, 6, and 8. A total of 4,928 prepositioned manpower with 854 equipment are continuously monitoring the road situation in these areas.
