Thousands of motorists to benefit from improved Nueva Ecija road

Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar announced that improved travel experience will soon be enjoyed by motorists and residents in Nueva Ecija with the rehabilitation of Pinagpanaan – Rizal – Pantabangan Road.

“DPWH Nueva Ecija First District Engineering Office (DEO) is working on the completion of 16.95-km asphalt overlay project of the road network that serves as main route going to Nueva Ecija and Aurora,” said Secretary Villar.

DPWH completes P48.8-M revetment structure along Lipadas River, Davao City

The newly-constructed revetment wall project of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) now provides protection for the residents of Barangay Crossing Bayabas, Toril District, Davao City against river overflow.

In a report to DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar, DPWH Region XI Director Allan S. Borromeo said that a total of P48.8-million was allocated for the construction of a 457-lineal meter of concrete revetment on steel sheet along Lizada Section of Lipadas River.

The concrete revetment is also designed to provide protection to the national road during flooding.

Access road to Siquijor’s Butterfly Sanctuary, Mountain View Park nears completion

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is almost done with its road concreting project that will facilitate better access to Siquijor Island’s Butterfly Sanctuary and Bandilaan Mountain View Park.

In a report to DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar, DPWH Siquijor District Engineer Elvis G. Calunod said that a total of P13.84 million was allocated to improve 580-meter portion of the local road in Barangay Calunasan, Maria town.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has facilitated the completion of a smoother and better 1.36-kilometer newly-asphalted road in Calbayog City, Samar.

In her report to Secretary Mark A. Villar, DPWH Region 8 Director Nerie Bueno said that a P75-million asphalt overlay project was implemented along the 1.36 kilometer-long, four-lane section of Daang Maharlika in Barangay San Joaquin.

2 flood control projects completed in Nueva Ecija

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the construction of two (2) new flood control structures in the Municipality of Jaen and Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija.
DPWH Secretary Mark A. commended DPWH Nueva Ecija Second District Engineering Office for completing the slope protection projects along Pampanga River in Barangay San Roque, Jaen and Barangay Sumacab Norte, Cabanatuan City as part of the disaster mitigation measures implemented by the Department.

2 flood control projects completed in Nueva Ecija

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the construction of two (2) new flood control structures in the Municipality of Jaen and Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija.
DPWH Secretary Mark A. commended DPWH Nueva Ecija Second District Engineering Office for completing the slope protection projects along Pampanga River in Barangay San Roque, Jaen and Barangay Sumacab Norte, Cabanatuan City as part of the disaster mitigation measures implemented by the Department.
