P30M flood mitigation project in Calape, Bohol now completed

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the construction of a flood control project in Barangay Calunasan, Calape, Bohol.

The P30.2 million project involves the construction of a 790.50-meter river revetment with grouted riprap to provide protection to residents during typhoon and rainy season.

DPWH Bohol 1st DEO District Engineer Francis Antonio L. Flores reported that the structure will ensure the protection of lives and properties of people living in Barangay Calunasan.

New 2.2-km road boosts tourism, local industries in Benguet

Tublay, a landlocked agricultural municipality in Benguet, is now more accessible to tourists traders with the completion of the new Acop-Kapangan-Kibungan-Bakun Junction to Bangho-Daclan-Basil-Tublay Central Road.

Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar announced that safer and more convenient travel awaits tourists visiting Tublay with the completion of the 2.2-km concrete road that serves as an alternate route for the existing Acop-Kabangan-Kibungan-Bakun Road.

DPWH completes P26.5-million building in Cotabato high school

Students of Pigcawayan National High School in Pigcawayan, Cotabato now have a new conducive place for learning after the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) turned-over a completed three (3) storey school building project constructed in the amount of P26.5-million.

The new school building will benefit some 200 junior high school students of the Special Program in the Arts and with the Technology and Livelihood Education Laboratory located on the first floor.

DPWH paves 8-km access road to Lauagan Falls in North Cebu

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is concreting a portion of Dakit-Ampongol-Cabungahan Road leading to Lauagan Falls in Barangay Dakit, Sogod, Cebu.

The P54.7 million project which involves concreting of 8 kilometers unpaved roads with provision of embankment and steel reinforcement is now 81 percent completed.

Ongoing road improvement project also includes provision of reflectorized thermoplastic pavement markings, GAD attributions, and hazard markers that will ensure safety of the traveling public.

Thousands of motorists to benefit from improved Nueva Ecija road

Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar announced that improved travel experience will soon be enjoyed by motorists and residents in Nueva Ecija with the rehabilitation of Pinagpanaan – Rizal – Pantabangan Road.

“DPWH Nueva Ecija First District Engineering Office (DEO) is working on the completion of 16.95-km asphalt overlay project of the road network that serves as main route going to Nueva Ecija and Aurora,” said Secretary Villar.
