DPWH Builds Seawall for Coastal Community in Davao Oriental

A 1.31-kilometer seawall that will act as a flood-control structure in Barangay Batobato, San Isidro, Davao Oriental was recently completed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

DPWH Davao Oriental 2nd District Engineer Jane D. Cainghog reported the completion of the project which now serves as the community’s first line of defense against flooding brought on by storm-generated waves and seawater rise, as well as other adverse weather circumstances.

Davao City’s Longest Road Mountain Tunnel Proceeding in Full Swing

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) longest road mountain tunnel project in Mindanao is on full steam of implementation.

In his report to Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, Senior Undersecretary Emil K. Sadain, in-charge of the implementation of DPWH infrastructure flagship projects said that tunneling activities for the 2.3-kilometer twin tube bi-lane road mountain tunnel is on the verge of reaching halfway with total length excavated for southbound and northbound direction on both ends of north and south portal at a cumulative distance of about 1-kilometer.

3 New Building Facilities to Rise at PNP-Camp Crame

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is fast-tracking the completion of new and modernized infrastructure projects inside the headquarters of the Philippine National Police (PNP) at Camp Crame in Quezon City.

The ₱204-million TIKAS or “Tatag ng Imprastraktura para sa Kapayapaan at Seguridad” (TIKAS) Projects, a convergence program of the agency and the Department of National Defense (DND), covers the construction of two (2) five-storey Quarters Building and Dormitory Building and the two-storey Ballistic Testing Facility.
