Additional Roads Closed due to Maring, Nando

More road closures were recorded at 1:00 pm Tuesday, October 12, 2021 due to Tropical Storm ‘Maring’ and Tropical Depression ‘Nando’.

In a latest advisory, the Department of Public Works and Highways Bureau of Maintenance (DPWH-BOM) reported that 24 national road sections are now closed to traffic which includes 17 in Cordillera Administrative Region, three (3) in Region I, three (3) in Region II and one (1) in Region VII due to fallen trees, landslide, flooding, continuous mudslides and damaged bridge.

DPWH Fast Tracks Bulacan Road Expansion Project

The on-going expansion works of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) at the 24.61 kilometer Arterial Road Bypass in the Province of Bulacan is being fast-tracked towards sustaining development momentum while ensuring safety of road users.

With an overall accomplishment of 47.8 percent, we are trying to moved forward as quickly as possible to accelerate delivery of the widening from two (2) to four (2) lanes the entire alignment of Plaridel Bypass Road for this highway to keep up with the increasing number of vehicles, said DPWH Undersecretary Emil K. Sadain.
