Villar turns-over completed COVID-19 facilities in Parañaque City

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has turned over to the city government of Parañaque a newly-completed medical healthcare facilities for COVID-19 patients and healthcare professionals.

Secretary Mark A. Villar said that the completed quarantine facility is composed of 84 air-conditioned rooms equipped with hospital bed, table, chair, and private comfort room to function as comfortable place where COVID-19 patients can recover.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed and turned-over a new 44-bed capacity COVID-19 isolation facility to the City Government of Makati.

DPWH Secretary and Isolation Czar Mark A. Villar said that the makeshift hospital that comes with one (1) nursing station and one (1) X-ray room inside Makati Aqua Sports Arena was put up by DPWH Metro Manila 2nd District Engineering Office from 40-foot container vans.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has turned over several COVID-19 facilities to the local government units of Bacolod City and Province of Negros Occidental.

Flood Control Structure In Calbayog City Completed

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed an 8-meter high flood control structure on each side of Cagpalale Creek in Calbayog City, Samar.

The flood control structures have a total length of 338 linear meters, lining the Abutment A and B of an adjacent bridge.

Cagpalale Creek branches out from Jibatang River, the largest river system in Calbayog City. During high tide and heavy rainfall, the plainlands near the creek becomes easily flooded, which often results in property damage and human casualties.
