Improved Road Boosts Tourism in Doña Remedios Trinidad, Bulacan

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has improved portions of the Eastern Bulacan Road in Doña Remedios Trinidad (DRT), Bulacan to facilitate better access to major tourism destinations in the town.

DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, citing reports from DPWH Regional Office 3 Director Roseller A. Tolentino, said that road sections measuring 6.74 lane kilometers and 3.38 lane kilometers from Barangay Sapang Bulak to Barangay Camachile were upgraded through asphalt overlaying.

3 Flood Control Projects Completed in Pangasinan

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed three (3) flood mitigation projects along Agno and San Juan River in Pangasinan as part of the government’s efforts to mitigate flooding in the country.

In his report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, DPWH Region 1 Director Ronnel M. Tan said that the slope protection works in San Carlos City aims to control water levels along major rivers in the province during rainy season.

Smoother vehicular flow and increased capacity will soon be experienced by motorists and commuters as Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) implements the widening of San Joaquin Bridge in Barangay San Joaquin, Municipality of Palo, Leyte.

According to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, citing reports from DPWH Region 8 Director Edgar B. Tabacon, the second and last phase of the project, with an allocation of P43.48 million, covers the widening of the bridge from two (2) to four (4) lanes, approach slab, and construction of slope protection structure using grouted riprap.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) announced that construction of a 2.4 lane kilometer road leading to the ongoing Philippine Sports Training Center (PSTC) in Bagac, Bataan is currently in the works.

DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, citing a report from DPWH Regional Office 3 Director Roseller A. Tolentino, said that the ongoing P55-million road project will provide faster access to the state-of-the-art sports complex for the country's national and local athletes.

DPWH Completes Revetment Wall in Manapla, Negros Occidental

A newly-completed flood control project by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) now shields coastal communities in Manapla, Negros Occidental.

According to DPWH Region 6 Director Nerie D. Bueno, the new structure in Barangay Punta Mesa will prevent erosion along river banks and roads in the coastal barangay and its neighboring communities.

“The revetment wall will safeguard the lives, properties, and livelihoods of approximately 8,000 residents which are surrounded by different bodies of water including the Guimaras Strait,” Director Bueno said.
