Improvement of Roads To Boost Tourism, Local Industry in Quirino

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is fast-tracking the completion of two (2) road projects in Maddela, Quirino aimed to support agricultural and tourism in potential areas.

Citing a report from DPWH Regional Office 2, Secretary Roger G. Mercardo said that the ongoing construction of the Divisoria Sur – San Salvador – Dungo Road in Maddela and Aglipay, Quirino will provide faster delivery of agricultural crops to farm-based food processing facilities that produce banana chips, feeds, muscovado sugar, and sugar cane juice.

2 Flood Control Structures Built in Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed additional flood mitigation structure to protect residents in the Municipality of Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan.

In his report to DPWH Secretary Roger Mercado, Regional Office 1 Director Ronnel M. Tan said that two (2) floodwalls were completed just in time for the rainy season along the riverbanks of Sinucalan River ib Barangay Ventinilla and Binco River in Barangay Sonquil.

DPWH Resumes Repair Works in EDSA, España

Motorists are advised that the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will continue its road rehabilitation works along Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA), Quezon City and España Boulevard, Manila starting 11 p.m. Friday, October 22, 2021.

Citing reports from DPWH – National Capital Region (NCR) Director Eric A. Ayapana, DPWH Secretary Roger G. Mercado identified two (2) sections for repair along EDSA as Tramo Flyover Aurora Blvd. (Tramo Off Ramp) in Pasay City and northbound before Anapolis to before Boni Serrano flyover, 2nd lane from sidewalk.

DPWH Joins Commemoration Program of Marawi Liberation, Checks Progress of Road Network Development Project

Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Acting Secretary Roger G. Mercado personally leads the DPWH participation in the commemoration program for the fourth year of the Marawi Liberation from armed terrorist militants.

As member agency of the Task Force Bangon Marawi (TFBM) created under Administrative Order No. 3 issued by President Duterte on June 28, 2017, DPWH spearheaded the implementation of national road projects based on the agency’s prepared holistic and comprehensive plan for rehabilitation and development of Greater Marawi.
