DPWH-DTI Road Projects Aid Farmers in Zamboanga Sibugay

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in convergence with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has completed the concrete paving of three (3) access roads to support agricultural communities in the municipality of Siay, Zamboanga Sibugay.

DPWH Zamboanga Sibugay 2nd District Engineering Office implemented the concrete paving of local roads at Barangay Mirangan to Barangay Balucanan stretching 484 meters; Barangay Coloran to Barangay Paruk spanning 455 meters; and Barangay Dacanay to Barangay Sumama, with a length of 367 meters.

DPWH Upgrades Road, Builds Flood Control in Nueva Ecija Towns

The municipalities of Talavera and Llanera in the province of Nueva Ecija are the recipients of two (2) completed infrastructure projects of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

DPWH Regional Office 3 Director Roseller A. Tolentino, in his reports to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan and Undersecretary for Operations in Central Luzon Roberto R. Bernardo, said that road improvements along Daang Maharlika and construction of flood control along the Talavera River were completed.

DPWH Completes Seawall in Roxas City, Capiz

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has built a new seawall in Roxas City, Capiz to protect vulnerable coastal communities.

Based on the report of DPWH Regional Office 6 OIC-Director Sanny Boy O. Oropel, the seawall now serves as a robust coastal defense of Barangay Punta Cogon, providing enhanced safety against inclement weather conditions.

Undertaken by DPWH Capiz 1st District Engineering Office, the P29.1-million Punta Cogon Seawall involved the construction of a 166-lineal meter concrete seawall with anchorage piles and beams.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has installed booster pumps to help address flooding in the areas of Tondo, Sta. Cruz and Quiapo in the city of Manila.

DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, citing a report from DPWH National Capital Region Director Loreta M. Malaluan, said that submersible axial pumps were installed to increase discharge and carrying capacity of Estero dela Reina and Estero de Quiapo and efficiently move water away from vulnerable locations.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has recently completed P173-million worth of infrastructure projects that now benefit residents and businesses in the bustling City of Gapan in Nueva Ecija.

DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, citing reports from DPWH Regional Office 3 Director Roseller A. Tolentino, identified the projects in Gapan City as the flood control structure in Barangay San Vicente and road maintenance works in Barangay Malimba and Barangay Baluarte.
