New Bridge Brings Relief to Commuters in Baggao, Cagayan

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has opened a new permanent Abusag Bridge along Baybayog-Baggao-Dalin-Sta. Margarita Road in the town of Baggao, Cagayan Province.

“To provide ease of travel to commuters, the almost completed bridge was opened early on after it was deemed safer for public use,” DPWH Regional Office 2 OIC-Director Reynaldo C. Alconcel said in his report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan.

Revetment Wall Ensures Safety of Agri-Communities in Alimodian, Iloilo

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed a new flood control structure along Jaro-Aganan River to protect agri-communities in Alimodian, Iloilo from flood related hazards.

Built at the downstream of Aganan River in Barangay Poblacion, the project involves the construction of 711-lineal meter reinforced concrete revetment wall for the mitigation of flash floods and river bank erosion caused by rising water levels during heavy rains.

The construction of a new Pasaruboy Bridge by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has linked the remote San Ildefonso Peninsula to other communities in Casiguran, Aurora.

DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, citing a report from DPWH Regional Office 3 Director Roseller A. Tolentino, said that the completed 75-meter long, 9.54-meter wide Pasaruboy Bridge that now connects Barangays Cozo and San Ildefonso.

The completed bridge has approach of 412.95 meters at Abutment A and 123.67 meters at Abutment B.

DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, citing a report from DPWH Regional Office 3 Director Roseller A. Tolentino, said that the completed 75-meter long, 9.54-meter wide Pasaruboy Bridge that now connects Barangays Cozo and San Ildefonso.

The completed bridge has approach of 412.95 meters at Abutment A and 123.67 meters at Abutment B.

Bonoan, Department of Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista, Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) Chairman Manuel Pangilinan, MNTC President Rodrigo Franco, NLEX Corporation President J. Luigi Bautista, and various local government unit officials.
