New Embankment Protects Catanauan, Quezon Province from River Overflow
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the construction of a flood control structure along a critical section of the Catanauan River to mitigate the recurring flood risks in Barangay 10, Catanauan, Quezon Province.
DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, citing a report from DPWH Region IV-A Director Jovel G. Mendoza, said that the 380-lineal meter revetment-type flood control project is designed to address the overflowing of Catanauan River into the communities and agricultural lands.
