27 Road Sections in Luzon Impassable Due to ‘Egay’

As of 6:00 AM Thursday, July 27, 2023, a total of 27 road sections have been identified impassable in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley Region, and Central Luzon due Super Typhoon “Egay”.

Based on Reports from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) – Bureau of Maintenance, the following roads in CAR and Regions I, II, and III are closed:

As of 6:00 AM Thursday, July 27, 2023, a total of 27 road sections have been identified impassable in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley Region, and Central Luzon due Super Typhoon “Egay”.

Based on Reports from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) – Bureau of Maintenance, the following roads in CAR and Regions I, II, and III are closed:

‘Egay’ Renders 13 Road Closures as of July 26 Noon

As of 12:00 noon Wednesday, July 26, 2023, a total of 13 roads were closed to vehicular traffic in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) due to series of soil collapses, fallen trees, mudflow brought on by Super Typhoon Egay.

Public Works and Highways Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, citing the latest report from the DPWH Bureau of Maintenance said that the affected roads are as follows:

‘Egay’ Renders 13 Road Closures as of July 26 Noon

As of 12:00 noon Wednesday, July 26, 2023, a total of 13 roads were closed to vehicular traffic in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) due to series of soil collapses, fallen trees, mudflow brought on by Super Typhoon Egay.

As of 6:00 AM Wednesday, July 26, 2023, Super Typhoon “Egay” has rendered two (2) road closures and four (4) highways with limited access in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), Central Mindanao (Region XII) and Region IV-B.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has identified impassable roads as the Baguio-Bontoc Road, K0347+090 – K0347+180, Mt. Data, Bauko in Mt. Province to secure public safety; and Awang-Upi-Lebak-Kalamansig-Palimbang-Sarangani Road, K1995+450, Brgy. Kidayan, Palimbang in Sultan Kudarat due to damaged cross drainage and collapsed pavement.
