The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the rehabilitation and improvement of the flood control structure that would save lives and properties of residents in the low-lying barangay of Bantian in Calbayog, Province of Samar.
DPWH-Samar First District Engineer Alvin A. Ignacio said that with a total budget allotment of P10-million from the 2018 General Appropriations Act (GAA), DPWH constructed a 96-meter embankment to complement with existing structure along Bantian Creek.

DPWH Southern Leyte District Engineer Ma. Margarita Junia said that nine (9) road improvement projects in Maasin City and Malitbog town are underway to aid the locals, specifically farmers with the delivery of their farm products to commercial districts.

With clearance from the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), DPWH-NCR will resume reblocking and repair on three (3) sections of Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA); one (1) in A.H. Lacson Avenue; and one (1) in Batasan Road.
