Pinacanauan Flood Control Strengthens Riverbank Protection in San Mariano, Isabela
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed a 372-meter-long flood control structure along the Pinacanauan River in Barangay Marannao, San Mariano, Isabela, to protect communities from severe flooding and erosion.
DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, citing a report from DPWH Region II OIC-Director Mathias L. Malenab, said that the project will address flooding and riverbank erosion in Barangay Marannao through a more stable river defense system built to mitigate damage caused by strong water currents during heavy rains.
