24 sites in Southern Leyte tagged for Flood control projects in 2018

Low-lying areas in Southern Leyte will be protected from overflowing of rivers as the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) implements a host of flood control projects amounting to P458.65 million this year.

The multi-million projects include the construction of embankments along riverbanks and coastlines considered as flood-prone areas in Southern Leyte.

Low-lying areas in Southern Leyte will be protected from overflowing of rivers as the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) implements a host of flood control projects amounting to P458.65 million this year.

DPWH Weekend Road Repair in QC and Caloocan

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will undertake road reblocking and repairs of roads in the Cities of Quezon and Caloocan this weekend.

According to DPWH National Capital Region Director Melvin B. Navarro, the road repair and rehabilitation will be carried out from 11 PM Friday, January 26, 2018 using one (1) day concrete mix so that the affected road lanes will be fully passable at 5 AM Monday, January 29, 2018.

DPWH Weekend Road Repair in QC and Caloocan

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will undertake road reblocking and repairs of roads in the Cities of Quezon and Caloocan this weekend.

DPWH completes 626 projects in Cagayan Valley

A total of 626 projects amounting to P6.03 billion were successfully completed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Cagayan Valley Region under the DPWH 2017 Regular Infrastructure Program.

Completed projects in Region 2 include: 278.24 kilometers of national, secondary and tertiary roads, 33 flood control projects, and 574 other infrastructure projects involving the construction of tourism roads, farm-to-market roads, bridges along local roads, school buildings, national buildings, multi-purpose buildings and water systems.

DPWH eyes P170-M flood control project to solve flooding in Tacloban

Pre-detailed engineering works will soon start for the proposed P170-million flood control project that will address perennial flooding in Tacloban City.

DPWH Region 8 Director Edgar B. Tabacon has instructed the Planning and Design Engineers to assess the major waterways and drain along National Irrigation Administration (NIA) to Cancabato Bay and craft a flood control master plan for Tacloban City.
