Tumagbok Bridge in Miagao town reconstructed

The ongoing reconstruction of the Tumagbok Bridge in Miagao town is in full blast, according to the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Regional Office VI.

The ₱200 million project project involves the construction of 4 lanes, 3 spans Pre-Stressed Concrete Girder (PSCG), Type IV Bridge on bored pile foundation, including electrical lights, approaches and slope protection, with the total length of 35 meters.

The new bridge is being widened from the old, 2-lane bridge to complement the widening along the Iloilo-Antique Road.

DPWH reopens Biliran's Caraycaray Bridge to light vehicles

The typhoon-damaged Caraycaray Bridge along Biliran-Naval Circumferential Road in the province of Biliran has been reopened to light vehicles by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

In an advisory, Assistant District Engineer Alfredo L. Bollido of DPWH Biliran District Engineering Office said the bridge that was closed to traffic due to washed out/scoured bridge approaches brought by the onslaught of Tropical Storm “Urduja”, is now open to 4-wheel light vehicles, motorcycles and tricycles.

DPWH RESUMES ROAD REBLOCKING IN NCR THIS WEEKEND

The Department of Public Works and Highways-National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) will resume road repair and reblocking on eight (8) road sections in the cities of Quezon and Caloocan this weekend. DPWH-NCR Director Melvin B. Navarro said repairs will be undertaken starting at 11:00 p.m. on Friday, January 12, 2017 on the outer lane and inner lane, south bound direction of A. Bonifacio Avenue, Sgt.

DPWH clears flood debris along Leyte's PIMO Road

The Department of Public Works and Highways Leyte Fourth District Engineering Office (DPWH-L4DEO) is currently undertaking massive clearing activities along Palompon-Isabel-Merida-Ormoc (PIMO) Road following a month-long rain and flooding in Eastern Visayas. Instructed by District Engineer Lino Francisco C. Gonzales, the DPWH-L4DEO maintenance team was immediately deployed after the floodwater subsided to clear debris along PIMO Road.
