Binondo Intramuros Bridge Complete by September 2021

Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar announced that the Binondo-Intramuros Bridge Project in Manila is now 50 percent complete and targeted for opening seven (7) months from now.

Secretary Villar made the declaration as he inspect Thursday, February 4, 2021 the progress of works of the bridge project spanning over the Pasig River in Manila with Chinese Ambassador Huang Xilian, DPWH Undersecretary for Unified Project Management Office (UPMO) Operations Emil K. Sadain, and Project Director Virgilio C. Castillo of DPWH UPMO Roads Management Cluster 1.

DPWH Completes Billion Worth of CY2020 Projects in Eastern Visayas

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the construction, rehabilitation, improvement, and maintenance of 311.5 lane kilometers of national roads, 12 bridges, and 99 flood-control structures in Region 8 under 2020 General Appropriations Act (GAA).

This was announced by DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar, citing DPWH Regional Office’s Year-end Report disclosing that the Department was able to accomplish numerous projects in the Region despite restrictions due to COVID-19 pandemic.

DPWH Turns Over P34.7M Evacuation Center to Agusan del Sur

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) recently turned over an evacuation center for emergency purposes built in the amount of P37.4 million in Esperanza, Agusan del Sur during emergencies.

Secretary Mark A. Villar, citing a report from DPWH Region 13 Director Pol M. Delos Santos said that the facility consists of a 2-storey accommodation building, 2-storey infirmary building, laundry area, male and female toilets, materials recovery facility (MRF) and provision of generator set and transformer.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed another P50 Million road construction and improvement project along the ongoing Mauban-Tignoan Road in Real, Quezon Province.

DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar said that a 660-meter road portion was completed by DPWH Quezon 1st District Engineering Office that forms part of a 4.55-kilometer Mauban-Tignoan Missing Link Road Project in Real Quezon.

The completed project funded under 2020 General Appropriations Act (GAA) involves the construction of a 2-lane road with slope protection and drainage system.
