Paving of 53.4-kilometer road network in Bukidnon almost complete

Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar announced that a faster and better road connection between Bukidnon and Misamis Oriental is about to be completed as DPWH is almost done with the paving of the Kibawe-Kadingilan-Kalilangan (KKK) Road in Bukidnon, Northern Mindanao.

“DPWH Regional Office 10, under the leadership of Regional Director Zenaida Tan, undertook the improvement of the 53.4-kilometer national road that forms a loop with the Maramag-Pangantukan-Kalilangan Road to Sayre Highway via Municipality of Kadingilan,” said DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar.

VILLAR: Bauang-San Fernando-San Juan Bypass Road right on track

Department of Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar inspected the ongoing construction of the Bauang-San Fernando-San Juan Bypass Road which will provide alternate route to decongest traffic along Manila North Road on the towns of Bauang, San Fernando City and San Juan La Union, once completed.

Secretary Mark A. Villar said that the bypass road will reduce travel time from one (1) hour to 30 minutes starting from Barangay Payocpoc Norte, Bauang to Barangay Taboc, in San Juan.

Department of Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Motorists advised to follow bridge weight limit

Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark A. Villar reminded the public to observe the maximum load limit of bridges to ensure safety and prolong service life.

This followed after DPWH Region 8 Director Nerie Bueno reported that they are conducting a load monitoring checkpoint for all equipment and vehicles crossing the Biliran Bridge with 15-ton maximum capacity along Leyte-Biliran Road in Biliran Province.

DPWH constructs new school building to accommodate 200 students in Iloilo

Public Works Secretary Mark A. Villar announced the completion of a school building project with five (5) classrooms in Barangay Buga, Leon, Iloilo.

“The construction of the school building amounting P6.93-million is for the purpose of augmenting the growing number of elementary students in Buga Central Elementary School,” said Villar.

Road repair schedule in EDSA and C-5 this weekend

Two (2) sections of Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA) and Circumferential Road 5 (C-5) will undergo road repair and maintenance this weekend starting 11 p.m. Friday, February 15, 2019 until 5 a.m. Monday, February 18, 2019.

Department of Public Works and Highways – National Capital Region Director Ador G. Canlas said that road reblocking will cover portions at the southbound direction of EDSA from Lagarian Creek to before Ermin Garcia, 2nd lane, innermost lane; and at the northbound direction from corner Congressional Avenue Extension, 2nd lane from the sidewalk.
