Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar announced that an old bridge along Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA), Pasay City was retrofitted to conform to the latest standard design and seismic guidelines, criteria and specifications of DPWH.

Citing a report from DPWH-National Capital Region Director Ador Canlas, Secretary Villar said DPWH South Manila District Engineering Office has recently completed the strengthening works on Malibay Bridge.

Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar announced the completion of a total of six (6) revetment structures that now protects various flood-prone municipalities of Zamboanga Sibugay, in the Zamboanga Peninsula Region.

Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar said that the DPWH and the Office of the Presidential Assistant for Bicol Affairs (OPABA) have inked a memorandum of understanding (MOU), allowing the latter in reviewing infrastructure projects implemented within the six (6) provinces of Region 5.

In line with the Department’s thrust to fast track the completion of projects and to be transparent in its operations, a pilot training and implementation of Document Tracking System (DoTS) was recently conducted for the personnel of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Region VI.
