DPWH COVID-19 Response: Skeletal Operation

DPWH management puts top priority on the health and safety of its thousands of employees and stakeholders by adopting home-based telecommuting work arrangement for majority of its personnel. However, shifting skeletal operation is in place to ensure the continuous and efficient delivery of mission-critical services. DPWH also assures that salaries and wages shall be paid to its employees during the enhanced community quarantine period.

DPWH Recommends Conversion of 4 Public Buildings and 7 Sites into COVID-19 Health Facilities

After converting various evacuation centers into health facilities, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is now looking into preparing existing public buildings and open spaces in Metro Manila to be used as health facilities and isolation sites to address hospital shortage due to continued rise of COVID-19 cases.

DPWH-DSWD distributes food packs in Western Visayas

Manpower and equipment resources of Department of Public Works and Highways Region 6 were mobilized to provide logistical assistance to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in providing family food packs to provinces in Western Visayas.

According to DPWH Region 6 Director Lea N. Delfinado, food packs prepared by the DSWD were delivered to the province of Capiz and to the towns of Patnongon and Barbaza in Antique Province.
