DPWH Completes River Wall in Sta. Marcela, Apayao

Public Works Secretary Mark A. Villar announced the completion of a revetment structure along Apayao River that will address the flooding in Barangay Barocboc, Municipality of Marcela, Province of Apayao.

Secretary Villar said that part of the completed flood mitigation structure are works for the installation of 10,296 linear-meter steel sheet piles, construction of 844.2 cubic-meter concrete slope protection, and 1,300 pieces hexapods.

Overnight Road Closure along Loay Interior Road, Bilar, Bohol

Motorists are advised that the Loay Interior Road (LIR) along the national highway of Barangay Villa Aurora in Bilar, Bohol will be closed to vehicular traffic on March 13 and 14, 2021 to fast-track ongoing construction works along the said road section.

Due to the steep land profile of the project area, it is difficult for heavy equipment to maneuver and operate using a single lane of the road section while the other lane is open for the traveling public and may impose possible danger.

DPWH to Complete Expansion Works for 2.22 KM Segment of Plaridel Bypass by March 31

Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar announced that widening works from two (2)-lanes to four (4)-lanes of some 2.22 kilometer portion of the 24.61 kilometer Arterial (Plaridel) By-Pass Road in the Province of Bulacan is almost complete.

The two (2) additional road lanes will alleviate the slow traffic movement due to increasing volume of vehicles utilizing the existing two way - two lane bypass road that connected North Luzon Expressway in Barangay Burol, Balagtas with Daang Maharlika Highway in Barangay Maasim, San Rafael, said Secretary Villar.

DPWH Set to Resume Strengthening Works of Quezon Bridge in Manila

The Department of Public Works and Highways - National Capital Region has held a pre-bid conference for the continuation of the retrofitting and strengthening of Quezon Bridge along Quezon Boulevard Extension in between Quiapo and Ermita, Manila.

Secretary Mark A. Villar, citing a report from DPWH National Capital Region Eric A. Ayapana, said that the pre-procurement activity was conducted via Facebook livestream on February 26, 2021.

DPWH Set to Resume Strengthening Works of Quezon Bridge in Manila

The Department of Public Works and Highways - National Capital Region has held a pre-bid conference for the continuation of the retrofitting and strengthening of Quezon Bridge along Quezon Boulevard Extension in between Quiapo and Ermita, Manila.

Villar: Great Wall of Baguio City to Connect Major Mane and Kennon Road Underway

Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar announced that the construction of a 4.6-kilometer bypass road connecting Major Mane Road to Kennon Road, popularly known as the Great Wall of Baguio City, is in full swing.

“We are now implementing the Phase 4 of the Great Wall of Baguio City which will provide direct connection from Kennon Road to Loakan Airport without passing through the city proper of Baguio,” announced Secretary Villar.
