DPWH Pushes For More Construction of Modular Hospitals

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), the agency largely involved in the construction of temporary treatment and monitoring facilities nationwide, will put-up more off-site hospitals to cater the increasing number of people suffering from virus infection.

DPWH Secretary and Chief Isolation Czar Mark A. Villar said that capacity expansion of major hospitals are on-going using pre-fabricated components to speed up the construction process.

DPWH Augments Batangas Medical Center Covid-19 Treatment Facilities

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has built additional Covid-19 treatment facilities at Batangas Medical Center in Batangas City.

Secretary and Isolation Czar Mark A. Villar said that off-site hospital buildings completed by the DPWH Task Force to Facilitate Augmentation of Local/National Health Facilities together with Batangas 2nd District Engineering Office are being readied for operation to provide healthcare service to patients from Batangas and nearby province.

Binondo-Intramuros Bridge On Track for 2021 Opening

Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar announced that the Binondo-Intramuros Bridge is on track to be completed this 2021 amidst present pandemic situation.

Secretary Mark A. Villar said that the implementing office DPWH Unified Project Management Office - Roads Management Cluster 1 (UPMO-RMC 1) and contractor China Road and Bridge Corporation have made efforts to speed up work progress to ensure that the 3.39 billion peso project will be completed by this fourth quarter.
