DPWH Replaces Temporary Bridges in Cantilan, Surigao del Sur

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is now building a concrete bridge that will replace an old, wobbly hanging bridge and a dilapidated wooden bridge in Barangay Buntalid, Cantilan, Surigao del Sur.

In his report to Secretary Mark A. Villar, DPWH Region 13 Director Pol M. delos Santos said that the construction of permanent bridge across Carac-an River started in December 2020 is a much sought infrastructure of residents that can be utilized by both motorists and pedestrians even during rainy season.

DPWH Signs Manifesto To Intensify Efforts Vs Graft And Corruption

Officials of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) nationwide headed by Secretary Mark A. Villar on Monday, April 12, 2021 signed a Pledge of Cooperation and Oath of Honesty Manifesto in partnership with the Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC).

The online event held all over the country via the web platform Zoom was attended by the members of the DPWH Management Committee; the Regional, Bureau, Project, and Service Directors; and District Engineers and was witnessed by PACC officials led by Chairman Greco B. Belgica.

2.2-Km Road Connects Far Barangay in Aurora Province

Farmers and residents of Barangay Diaman in the Municipality of Maria Aurora, Aurora Province now have improved mobility and access to services with the completion of Diaman-Dikildit Road implemented by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

Citing a report from DPWH Aurora District Engineer Roderick Andal, Secretary Villar said that the opening of 2.2-kilometer Diaman-Dikildit Road now provides easy access between barangays Diaman and Dikildit.
