“Build Build Build” team launches “Jobs Jobs Jobs” online portal, inspects NLEX Harbor Link Segment 10’s progress

The Duterte administration’s “Build, Build, Build” team today launched the “Jobs, Jobs, Jobs” Portal, an online jobs site aimed at consolidating all employment opportunities from all concessionaires and construction companies involved in the government’s flagship infrastructure program. Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar, Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade, and Bases Conversion and Development Authority President Vince Dizon gave a preview of the new portal during the progress inspection of NLEX Harbor Link Segment 10 by the “Build Build Build” officials.

DPWH earmarks P137-million tourism road projects for Southern Leyte

New and improved roads will be constructed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in hopes of making tourism sites of Southern Leyte more accessible to both locals and tourists.

According to DPWH Southern Leyte District Engineer Ma. Margarita C. Junia, a total of P137-million was allocated for the 2018 Tourism Road Infrastructure Program (TRIP) which involves the paving of roads leading to the province’s tourist destinations, including the construction of covered canal and slope protection structure.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the P203.4 million flood control project that is seen to alleviate flooding around the vicinity of Manila City Hall and Intramuros during rainy season.

DPWH National Capital Region Director Melvin B. Navarro said the project which involves the construction of bigger reinforced concrete box culvert (RCBC) as drainage measuring 60 inches in diameter along the 2.27-kilometer Padre Burgos Avenue is now serviceable and linked with the newluy improved Luneta Pumping Station.

The Department of Public Works and Highway (DPWH) aims to complete in 2018 the repair and replacement of bridges along Bohol Circumferential Road that were destroyed by the 7.2-magnitude earthquake in 2013.

Castillo of DPWH Unified Project Management Office – Roads Management Cluster 1 said the Road Upgrading and Preservation Projects which are funded under Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) loan, cover the reconstruction/repair of six (6) bridges under Package 1 and 2, as well as 1 bridge under Package 3.

Six-lane Davao River Bridge opens

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the widening of Davao River Bridge along Davao City Diversion Road in Davao City, Davao del Sur.

President Rodrigo R. Duterte and Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar formally opened to motoring public the newly-widened bridge on Thursday, May 24, 2018 together with Davao City Mayor Sara Z. Duterte, Davao City First District Rep. Karlo Alexei B. Nograles, DPWH Senior Undersecretary Rafael C. Yabut, DPWH Undersecretary Dimas S. Soguilon, and DPWH Region 11 Director Allan S. Borromeo.
