DPWH FLOOD PROTECTION MEASURES UNDERWAY IN CAGAYAN DE ORO RIVER

Priority flood control projects of the Department of Public Works and Highways continue to go on full blast to help reduce flood risks in Northern Mindanao.

Three (3) contract packages of the P8.55 Billion DPWH Flood Risk Management Project for Cagayan De Oro River are moving into implementation stage to mitigate flood risk in Cagayan de Oro River Basin.

Leyte’s Marabong Bridge, temporary closed to vehicles above 5 tons

The two-span Marabong Bridge located along Burauen - La Paz Road in Barangay Moguing, Burauen, Leyte is temporarily closed to vehicles weighing over five (5) tons due to on-going major repair.

In an advisory, District Engineer Gerald A. Pacanan of DPWH Leyte Second District Engineering Office said repair works will be implemented until August 20, 2019.

In the meantime, motorists going to La Paz, Leyte may take Maharlika Highway to Mayorga-La Paz road section.
