Concrete Paving Along Bacolod South Road Underway

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is currently undertaking the reconstruction of the 1.26-kilometer section of Bacolod South Road in Barangay Talubangi, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.

The P50-million road concreting will improve four (4) lanes of the existing road pavement section with upgraded thickness, provision of reflectorized thermoplastic pavement markings, and installation of illuminated solar pavement levelled marker studs to facilitate smooth and safe travel especially during night time.

DPWH Completes P48.1-M Segment Of Lagawe-Lamut, Ifugao Bypass Road

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) recently-concreted 1.55 kilometer portion of a bypass road project that will shorten route between the municipality of Lagawe and Lamut in Ifugao Province.

DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar said that the phase 1 covering P48.1 million road construction and improvement project in Barangay Tungngod, Lagawe section was recently completed by the DPWH Ifugao 1st District Engineering Office.

DPWH Provides Flood Control Structure To Claveria, Cagayan Residents

Residents of Barangay Nagsabaran in Claveria, Cagayan are now protected from the threat of flooding as the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed the construction of a flood control structure along Cabicungan River.

The said P10-million flood control structure spanning a total of 114 linear meters aims to address the sudden rise of water from the Cabicungan River during heavy rains, which affects the adjacent communities situated in flood prone areas.

DPWH Provides Flood Control Structure To Claveria, Cagayan Residents

Residents of Barangay Nagsabaran in Claveria, Cagayan are now protected from the threat of flooding as the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed the construction of a flood control structure along Cabicungan River.

The said P10-million flood control structure spanning a total of 114 linear meters aims to address the sudden rise of water from the Cabicungan River during heavy rains, which affects the adjacent communities situated in flood prone areas.

Villar: Tayabas Bypass Road Now 78% Complete; 2021 Completion Aimed

Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar said that the ongoing Tayabas Bypass Road Project is now 78 percent accomplished.

Secretary Villar said that the 6.05-kilometer bypass road project that will decongest traffic within the town proper of Tayabas is expected to be substantially-completed before the end of the year and will be fully-completed in 2021.

DPWH: 15 roads still closed due to Quinta; damage to infra now at P58-M

Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar announced that all road sections affected by Tropical Storm Quinta in Bicol Region have been cleared and opened.

Secretary Villar said that clearing operations are on-going at the remaining 15 national road sections closed to traffic as of 6:00 AM, Wednesday, October 28, 2020.

Our deployed DPWH quick response teams are still clearing four (4) road sections in Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), four (4) in Region 2, two (2) in Region 3, four (4) in Region 4-A, and one (1) in Region 10, added Secretary Villar.

Estero De Sunog Apog Pumping Station Now Operational

The Estero de Sunog Apog Pumping Station along Hermosa St., in Barangay 183 Zone 2, Gagalangin, Tondo, Manila has successfully commenced operations on Tuesday, October 27, 2020.

Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar led the inauguration of the new pumping station which is expected to complement the Blumentritt Interceptor Catchment Area with its with four (4) floodgates, four (4) units of electromechanical pumps with a capacity of 3.5 cubic meters and two (2) generators.
