Damaged Steel Grating along Quezon Boulevard Repaired

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) once again responded to a report from a concerned citizen this time concerning a damaged steel plate at the steel grating that has caused an accident along Quezon Boulevard Underpass going to Quiapo, Manila.

Coursed through the DPWH Facebook Page, the report disclosed that the steel plate damaged and displaced by heavy trucks passing along the underpass resulted to a motorcycle falling on a road hole.

Through prompt coordination, the DPWH was able to repair the steel plate by welding it back to its original position.

New farm to market road aids residents in Concepcion, Tarlac

Residents, especially farmers, no longer have to endure unpaved and muddy roads especially during the rainy season with the completion of a concrete road project in Concepcion, Tarlac.

Secretary Mark A. Villar said that the DPWH Tarlac Second District Engineering Office has completed the 1.2-kilometer road that now connects Barangays San Isidro and Sitio Kabayung Sarul.

Prior to the construction of the P14.8-million project, residents have no choice but to walk every day or ride carabao-driven carriages as motorized vehicles can’t pass through.

DPWH constructs road leading to Angalacan River Park in Pangasinan

Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar announced that a new road leading to Angalacan River Ecotourism Park has recently been completed and is now providing better access to residents in Mangaldan, Pangasinan.

“Despite the limitations brought by the pandemic, we are proud to announce that we have delivered the first phase of the concreting project aimed to attract more tourists in the ecotourism park and improve economic activity in the municipality,” said Secretary Villar.

Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar announced that a new road leading to Angalacan River Ecotourism Park has recently been completed and is now providing better access to residents in Mangaldan, Pangasinan.

“Despite the limitations brought by the pandemic, we are proud to announce that we have delivered the first phase of the concreting project aimed to attract more tourists in the ecotourism park and improve economic activity in the municipality,” said Secretary Villar.

DPWH Turns Over Additional Quarantine Facility In Zamboanga City

Public Works and Highways Secretary and Chief Isolation Czar Mark A. Villar announced that the preparedness and response of Zamboanga City against spread of COVID-19 infection was further boosted with the availability of additional 20-bed isolation facility.

Secretary Villar said that the newly-built Zamboanga City Quarantine Facility located in Barangay Pasonanca was constructed to augment the existing quarantine facilities and mitigate the rapid spread of the COVID-19 infection in the city.

16.4-Kilometer Sultan Kudarat Road Almost Complete

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is currently undertaking final finishing works for the 16.4-kilometer Koronadal-Lutayan-Columbio-Matanao Road in Sultan Kudarat which is already 99.06 percent completed.

Secretary Mark A. Villar, based on a report by Regional Director Basir M. Ibrahim of the project’s implementing office DPWH Regional Office 12, said that the road network extends from the town of Lutayan to the town of Columbio.
