54-Bed Quarantine Facility Turned Over to Bislig, Surigao Del Sur

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has recently turned over a 54-bed capacity quarantine facility to Bislig, Surigao Del Sur.

Secretary Mark A. Villar, citing a report from Surigao Del Sur Second District Engineer Noel R. Oclarit said that the facility composed of three-unit building has been classified accordingly as per the Department of Health’s plan and specifications, with Building A as the staff house, kitchen and dining area; Building B for male patients; and Building C for female patients.

Upgraded National Road Section Provides Development Opportunities in Peñablanca, Cagayan

The municipality of Peñablanca in Cagayan has been seeing a number of social and economic progress after a P27.88-million road improvement project along the section of Cagayan Valley Road was completed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

Secretary Mark A. Villar, citing a report by DPWH Regional Office 2 Director Loreta M. Malaluan, said that the completed 829-meter road upgrading project involved the overlaying of asphalt along the four-lane portion of Cagayan Valley Road located at Barangay Camasi in Peñablanca.

DPWH: P2.3-B Water Supply Facilities Underway

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will be implementing a total of P2.34 Billion worth of water management facilities nationwide this year 2021.

DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar said that of the total amount from the 2021 General Appropriations Act, no less than 476 projects will be implemented which include construction/rehabilitation of water distribution/supply systems, rainwater collectors, multipurpose buildings for local water districts and water tanks for local government units across the country.

Villar: 2.85-km Section of Alaminos-San Pablo City Bypass Road in Laguna to Open by March 15

Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar has announced the opening on March 15 of 2.85-kilometer section of the Alaminos-San Pablo City Bypass Road Phase 1 Project in the province of Laguna.

Secretary Villar led the progress inspection of Alaminos, Laguna side of the bypass road starting from Daang Maharlika.

“This may only be just a small portion of the 12.83-kilometer Alaminos-San Pablo City Bypass Road but this marks the non-stop efforts of the Department to improve road network to support underdeveloped areas,” said Secretary Villar.

2.85-km Section of Alaminos-San Pablo City Bypass Road in Laguna to Open by March 15

Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar has announced the opening on March 15 of 2.85-kilometer section of the Alaminos-San Pablo City Bypass Road Phase 1 Project in the province of Laguna.

Secretary Villar led on Tuesday, February 16, 2020 the occular inspection of Alaminos, Laguna side of the bypass road starting from Daang Maharlika.

3 Newly-Concreted Local Roads Benefit Isabela towns

Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark A. Villar has announced the recent completion of concrete paving works along three (3) local roads in the towns of Alicia, Cabatuan, and San Mateo in Isabela Province.

Roads completed under the implementation of Isabela 3rd District Engineering Office (DEO) includes the 493.5-linear meter Mataas na Kahoy-St. Domingo Local Road in Alicia; 734.5-linear meter Barangay La Paz Road in Cabatuan; and, 899.3-linear meter Malasin-Salinungan West Farm Market Road in San Mateo.

DPWH to Open CLLEX up to Aliaga, Nueva Ecija by May 15

Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar declared that a new toll-free expressway from Tarlac City will be open to motoring public up to Aliaga, Nueva Ecija by May 15, 2021.

Secretary Villar said that witihin the next 90 days, the 18 kilometer section from the connection of SCTEX and TPLEX in Balingcanaway, Tarlac City up to Aliaga Interchange of the Central Luzon Link Expressway (CLLEX) Project Phase 1 will be substantially completed.
