Various road construction projects of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Tarlac Province will facilitate agricultural productivity and rural development, benefitting residents and farmers.

DPWH Secretary Roger G. Mercado, citing reports from DPWH Regional Office 3 (DPWH-RO3) Director Roseller A. Tolentino, identified the newly-paved roads as the 4.14-lane kilometer Barangay Sta. Lucia Road in Capas town and 1.65-lane kilometer Barangay San Martin-Barangay Lilibangan Road in Concepcion town.

DPWH Widens Metro Iloilo Radial Road, Paves Road to Hinulugan Falls in Capiz

A newly-widened section of Metro Iloilo Radial Road or R-4 Bypass Road undertaken by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) now improves transport of goods and services between neighboring towns in central Iloilo.

DPWH Secretary Roger G. Mercado said that the widened road connects the towns of Santa Barbara, New Lucena, and Zarraga, and serves as an alternate route from Iloilo City and southern Iloilo to the northern part of Iloilo and the provinces of Aklan and Capiz, and vice versa.

DPWH Resumes Weekend Road Reblocking in Metro Manila

The Department of Public Works and Highways announces the resumption of road rehabilitation works along EDSA, C-5 and other road portions in Quezon City starting at 11PM, tonight, May 13, 2022.

The road reblocking and repair works will cover northbound directions of EDSA Shaw Mandaluyong City from EDSA Shaw Boulevard near Shaw MRT Station going to Doña Julia Vargas Avenue (near SM Megamall-Building D), innermost/busway lane and of EDSA Quezon City after New York Street to Kamuning, 1st lane from sidewalk.

Sadain said that the simultaneous tunnel boring activities at north and south portals will result to the speedy construction of the 2.3-kilometer first-ever long distance mountain tunnel in the Philippines.

New Footbridges Link Highland Community in Sadanga, Mountain Province

The mountainous community of Barangay Betwagan in the Municipality of Sadanga, Mountain Province is now better connected by six (6) footbridges built and improved by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

DPWH Secretary Roger G. Mercado, based on reports from Mountain Province 1st District Engineer Januario S. Garde, said that the project included construction and rehabilitation of existing footbridges crossing a narrow waterway that is a tributary of the Chico River.
