New Footbridges Link Highland Community in Sadanga, Mountain Province

The mountainous community of Barangay Betwagan in the Municipality of Sadanga, Mountain Province is now better connected by six (6) footbridges built and improved by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

DPWH Secretary Roger G. Mercado, based on reports from Mountain Province 1st District Engineer Januario S. Garde, said that the project included construction and rehabilitation of existing footbridges crossing a narrow waterway that is a tributary of the Chico River.

DPWH Deploys Personnel, Equipment for Minor Repair on Lazatin Flyover in San Fernando City, Pampanga

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) started on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, the mobilization of its personnel and equipment as part of its preparations for the minor repairs of the Lazatin Flyover in San Fernando City, Pampanga.

According to DPWH Roger G. Mercado, the DPWH Unified Project Management Office – Bridges Management Cluster (DPWH UPMO-BMC), with assistance from the DPWH Regional Office 3, is set to conduct a technical survey and retrofitting of the bridge girder from May 5 to 7.

2-Storey PNP Building to Rise in San Fernando City, Pampanga

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) recently started the construction of a two-storey building inside the Central Luzon headquarters of the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Camp Olivas in San Fernando City, Pampanga.

DPWH Secretary Roger G. Mercado said that the project implemented by the DPWH Pampanga 1st District Engineering Office (DEO) is intended to be the new and improved Regional Internal Affairs Service (RIAS) Building for the hundreds of law enforcement agents and police officers of Camp Olivas.

Safer and more convenient travel awaits motorists and tourists traveling Zamboanga del Norte with the four (4) projects recently-completed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in the province.

Based on the report to Secretary Roger G. Mercado by Region 9 Director Cayamombao Dia, completed projects include the construction of two (2) slope protection and two (2) road concreting projects aimed at improving road conditions and providing better access to residents.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is currently undertaking the construction of an access road that will connect the Subic Bay Freeport Zone (SBFZ) to the Hermosa Ecozone Industrial Park (HEIP) in Bataan, promoting stronger economic activities in Central Luzon.

Citing reports from DPWH Regional Office 3, DPWH Secretary Roger G. Mercado said that the construction of the access road is divided into two (2) stages: the Mabiga–Morong–SBFZ Section for Phase 1 and the Mabigat–Palihan Section for Phase 2.
