DPWH Paves Access Roads for Farming Communities in Aklan

Local communities in the towns of Altavas, Banga, Libacao, and Nabas, Aklan province now experience enhanced farm to market transport with the completion of access roads by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

DPWH Region 6 Director Tiburcio DL Canlas reported to Secretary Roger G. Mercado that these newly-concreted roads will foster better connectivity between municipalities and tourist destinations which will trigger a boost in the local economy and tourism industry of Aklan.

3 New Building Facilities to Rise at PNP-Camp Crame

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is fast-tracking the completion of new and modernized infrastructure projects inside the headquarters of the Philippine National Police (PNP) at Camp Crame in Quezon City.

The ₱204-million TIKAS or “Tatag ng Imprastraktura para sa Kapayapaan at Seguridad” (TIKAS) Projects, a convergence program of the agency and the Department of National Defense (DND), covers the construction of two (2) five-storey Quarters Building and Dormitory Building and the two-storey Ballistic Testing Facility.

More Bike Lanes Open in South and East Metro Manila

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), together with the Department of Transportation (DOTr), officially launched on April 27, 2022 the additional improved bike lanes in the cities of Marikina, Parañaque, Muntinlupa, and Las Piñas.

DPWH Secretary Roger G. Mercado and Transportation Secretary Art P. Tugade, represented by DPWH National Capital Region Director Nomer Abel P. Canlas and DOTr Undersecretary Mark Steven C. Pastor, respectively, led the inauguration of the total 66.10-kilometer South and East Metro Manila Bike Lane Network.

Road Reblocking along EDSA, C-5 Resume

The Department of Public Works and Highways announces the resumption of reblocking and repairs on various roads in Metro Manila starting at 11PM Friday, April 29, 2022.

The road repair works will cover areas on both the northbound and southbound directions of EDSA P. Tuazon Aurora Boulevard, Quezon City, 1st lane from sidewalk (intermittent section) and Aurora Boulevard to Arayat, 1st lane from sidewalk.
