DPWH Completes P39.2-M Road Widening Project in Sual, Pangasinan

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has improved mobility by building additional lanes along Pangasinan-Zambales Road in the town of Sual, Pangasinan.

In his report to DPWH Secretary Manuel A. Bonoan and Undersecretary Eugenio R. Pipo Jr., DPWH Region I Director Ronnel Tan said that the DPWH Pangasinan 1st District Engineering Office recently completed the widening project of a 2.1-kilometer section of the Pangasinan-Zambales Road in Barangay Caoayan.

DPWH Improves Road Connectivity in Zamboanga Sibugay

In line with its mandate to enhance connectivity in local communities, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has undertaken road and bridge improvement projects in the municipalities of Ipil and Kabasalan, Zamboanga Sibugay.

In Barangay Magdaup, Ipil, DPWH Zamboanga Sibugay 2nd District Engineering Office has widened from two (2) to four (4) lanes a 360.7-meter portion of Ipil-Magdaup Wharf Road.

DPWH Completes Critical Flood Mitigation Projects in Bauang, La Union

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed two (2) flood control projects along the Bauang River Basin in Barangays Pudoc, Nagrebcan and Parian Este, Bauang, La Union.

In his report to DPWH Secretary Manual Bonoan, Region I Director Ronnel Tan said that a total length of 800 meters flood control structure was completed for the protection of flood-prone communities.

The project involves the construction of concrete revetment complemented by rigid floodwalls, which prevent the overflowing of the Bauang River into residential and agricultural areas.

In his report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, DPWH Tarlac 1st District Engineer Neil R. Farala said that the installation of LED street lights, warning and informative signages, and solar pavement markers are engineering safety measures to create safer roads for motorists.
