The Department of Public Works and Highways-National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) will undertake reblocking and road repair effective 10 PM of February 20, Friday to 5 AM of February 23, Monday, on the following roads in Quezon City:
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Region 6 made it to the top 4 among 16 Regional Offices nationwide in terms of project implementation for CY 2014.
At the end of 2014, DPWH, Region 6 has completed a total of 145.09 kilometers of roads and 3,858.90 lineal meters of bridges valued at P2.901 Billion and P385.890 Million, respectively.
The road rehabilitation works involving concreting of pavement and drainage improvement at Dimasalang Street in Sta Cruz and Sampaloc, Manila has started.
According to DPWH-North Manila District Engineer Medel Chua, the construction area covers some Dimasalang road sections spanning V.G. Cruz, Cristobal, A. Maceda, Blumentritt, Becerra and Maria Clara Streets.
Medel also said that construction period will take two (2) months and is targetted for completion on April 17, 2015 or within 60 calendar days.

Construction activities for the 880 lineal meters Senator Gil Puyat Avenue/Makati Avenue – Paseo de Roxas Vehicle Underpass Project is set to start this April.
Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Rogelio L. Singson said that civil works will immediately start after the completion of pre-construction activities by March.
DPWH, Iloilo First District Engineering Office is implementing a total of 80 projects in various areas in the southern part of Iloilo with the total allocation of P895.65 Million. The said projects were funded under the District’s FY 2015 DPWH Infrastructure Program based on General Appropriations Act (RA 10651.) Four projects amounting to P348.24 Million will be under the supervision of the Regional office, while 80 projects amounting to P547.41 Million will be supervised by DPWH, Iloilo First DEO. The continuous widening of roads and bridges along Iloilo-Antique Road is the top priority infrastructure project of the Department of Public Works and Highways, Iloilo First District Engineering Office.
The widening project is part of the District’s DPWH Multi-Year Program.
For Fiscal Year 2013 and 2014, the District has allocated the total amount of P162.00 Million, intended for road widening of various sections of the said national road.

The Department of Public Works and Highways, Iloilo First District Engineering Office, in convergence with the West Visayas State University-University Extension Program, is now using the Coconet Bio-engineering products in some of the infrastructure projects.
Currently, Coconet is being used by DPWH, in compliance with Department Order No 6, series of 2012, or the DPWH Standard Generic Specification for Coconet Bio-Engineering Solutions.
The ground-breaking ceremony of various infrastructure projects in the southern part of Iloilo province was conducted by the Department of Public Works and Highways, Iloilo First District Engineering Office.
The groundbreaking was spearheaded by District Engineer Cecil C. Caligan, along with local chief executives of municipalities where certain project is to be implemented.
