Bridge Along MSR Quezon Re-opens

After bearing with the temporary inconvenience is a quality bridge that now safely connects motorists and commuters of Southern Tagalog Region.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) re-opens on February 13, 2014 the rehabilitated Lalig Bridge at kilometer 94+635 along Manila South Road (MSR) - Daang Maharlika in Tiaong, Quezon.

All vehicles going to and from Manila, Batangas, Quezon, and Bicol area may now pass at the 15 lineal meters Lalig Bridge which was strengthened to cope with the increasing load and volume of passing vehicles.

DPWH Chief Reiterates Warning: "No Fund Raising at DPWH"

Department of Public Works and Highway Secretary Rogelio L. Singson calls on the public to never entertain any request from unscrupulous individuals using his name or the DPWH to solicit funds, by way of financial assistance, sponsorship or selling raffle tickets, as he is never involved, nor is supporting any group, firm or corporation to solicit on his or the DPWH’s behalf.

EDSA Road Traffic Advisory

Motorists and commuters are advised by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to expect traffic slowdown in some portions of EDSA including the section approaching Cubao area due to road works this weekend.

Secretary Rogelio L. Singson said that road repair at EDSA will be undertaken beginning at 10 P.M today, February 7, 2014 under the supervision of the DPWH-National Capital Region.

Construction of an Ecotourism Building at NInoy Aquiono Parks and Wildlife Center

P8.79 Billion Infra Projects in Western Visayas

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Western Visayas Region implemented a total of P8.79-billion worth of infrastructure projects in 2013.

DPWH Region 6 Assistant Director Lea Delfinado reported that 1,014 project of the total 1,463 projects implemented in Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo, and Negros Occidental provinces were completed by the end of CY 2013.

Delfinado added that there are 403 ongoing projects that are expected to be done within the first half of 2014, while the remaining 46 projects will undergo bidding this year.
