Farmers and residents of an agricultural community in the Municipality of Mawab, Davao de Oro have been reaping the benefits of a concreted road project of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

DPWH Regional Office 11 Director Juby B. Cordon, in her report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan and Undersecretary for Mindanao Operations Eugenio R. Pipo Jr., identified Barangay Malinawon in Mawab town as the location of the paved 870-meter farm-to-market road (FMR).

The riverside community of Barangay Poblacion, Narra, Palawan is now safeguarded from flood-related hazards following the completion of a Flood Control Structure along the Panacan River undertaken by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

Under the convergence project between the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA), a new road connects the once secluded agricultural areas in the town of Balangkayan, Eastern Samar.

In his report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, DPWH Region 8 Director Edgar B. Tabacon said that a 420-meter farm-to-market road was constructed to benefit coconut farmers and about 120 daily road users by essentially reducing transportation costs and travel time.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed two (2) farm-to-market road (FMR) projects that now boost economic opportunities and local agricultural productivity in the province of Ilocos Sur.

Constructed in Barangay Suso, Sta. Maria, the new concrete road now offers farmers and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) involved in the production and distribution of agricultural goods a more convenient and cost-effective way to transport their products or services.
