The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the construction of a multi-purpose building (MPB) that now serves as a new Bagsakan Center for local products in the Municipality of Dipaculao, Aurora Province.

DPWH Regional Office 3 Director Roseller A. Tolentino, in his report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, said that the one (1)-storey, 800-square-meter MPB constructed in Barangay Lipit now caters to the needs of the local agricultural community by providing farmers and vendors a trading hub for fruits, vegetables, and other agricultural produce.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed maintenance works along Lanao-Pagadian-Zamboanga City Road in the municipality of Diplahan, Zamboanga Sibugay.

According to DPWH Region IX Director Cayamombao D. Dia, the project involved the asphalt overlay of a 2.6-kilometer portion of the existing concrete road in Barangay Kauswagan.

“With the improved road, motorists now experience a safer and more convenient transport access to various establishments and government facilities in the province,” said Director Dia.

In order to boost the agro-ecotourism sector in Oriental Mindoro, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has recently finished concreting and expanding important roads that lead to two (2) emerging tourist destinations.

The Project Team of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and Pre-Appraisal Mission from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) convened for a kick-off discussion on the proposed Dalton Pass East Alternative Road Project.

According to DPWH Senior Undersecretary Emil K. Sadain, the kick-off meeting aims to evaluate the feasibility of the project and its benefits, putting prime the best interest and betterment of the Filipino stakeholders.
