A newly constructed road and slope protection structure implemented by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) now offer locals in Calbayog City ease and safer movement of people, goods, and services.

Residents of Barangay Roxas I and Barangay Lilbertad in Calbayog City are reaping the benefits of a 350-meter road constructed to link the two (2) barangays and hasten the delivery of farm produce such as copra and rice to nearby market centers.

Engineers and researchers from both public and private sectors showcased on Friday, October 20, 2023 the latest technologies in the construction industry in an annual symposium organized by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

DPWH Undersecretary for Legal Services Anne Sharlyne G. Lapuz, representing Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, led the 9th DPWH Research Symposium at the Ang Bahay ng Alumni, University of the Philippines – Diliman, Quezon City.

Motorists and residents are now benefiting from the newly-upgraded Muñoz-Lupao Road in the Province of Nueva Ecija undertaken by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

DPWH Regional Office 3 Director Roseller A. Tolentino, in his report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan and Undersecretary for Central Luzon Operations Roberto R. Bernardo, said that the stretch of the Muñoz-Lupao Road in Barangay Agupalo Weste, Lupao town, was upgraded through the application of asphalt overlay.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), led by Undersecretary for Planning and Public-Private Partnership Services Maria Catalina E. Cabral, inspected on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, the ongoing construction of the 2.55-kilometer NLEX-SLEX Connector Road Section 2 spanning from España Boulevard to the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) in Sta. Mesa, Manila.
