9th DPWH Research Symposium Underscores Infra Innovation, Resilience

Engineers and researchers from both public and private sectors showcased on Friday, October 20, 2023 the latest technologies in the construction industry in an annual symposium organized by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

DPWH Undersecretary for Legal Services Anne Sharlyne G. Lapuz, representing Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, led the 9th DPWH Research Symposium at the Ang Bahay ng Alumni, University of the Philippines – Diliman, Quezon City.

Motorists and residents are now benefiting from the newly-upgraded Muñoz-Lupao Road in the Province of Nueva Ecija undertaken by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

DPWH Regional Office 3 Director Roseller A. Tolentino, in his report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan and Undersecretary for Central Luzon Operations Roberto R. Bernardo, said that the stretch of the Muñoz-Lupao Road in Barangay Agupalo Weste, Lupao town, was upgraded through the application of asphalt overlay.

Cabral, inspected on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, the ongoing construction of the 2.55-kilometer NLEX-SLEX Connector Road Section 2 spanning from España Boulevard to the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) in Sta. Mesa, Manila.

9th DPWH Research Symposium Happening Oct. 20

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is set to hold on Friday, October 20, 2023, its 9th Research Symposium with theme: “Innovative and Resilient Infrastructure”.

DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, citing a report from DPWH Bureau of Research and Standards (BRS) Director Reynaldo P. Faustino, said that this year’s event will highlight ten (10) research papers from the DPWH, academe, and private institutions, focusing on the latest road safety technologies, as well as innovations in construction materials.

Revetment Extension Project Along Davao River in Davao City Halfway Complete

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is more than halfway in its construction of a revetment structure along portion of the Davao River in Calinan District, Davao City.

In a report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, DPWH Regional Office 11 Director Juby B. Cordon said that the DPWH Davao City Second District Engineering Office (DEO) is overseeing the construction of a one (1)-kilometer revetment structure made out of concrete along the Davao River in Barangay Pangyan section.
