Three (3) road sections that were closed due to road slip, landslide and flooding in MIMAROPA and Eastern Visayas Region are now open to traffic according to the latest report of the Department of Public Works and Highways – Bureau of Maintenance (DPWH-BOM).
Eleven (11) national road sections in Eastern Visayas and MIMAROPA Region remain closed to traffic due to flooding, landslide, road slip, damaged spillway, retaining wall, and bridge, and washed out detour bridge brought by Tropical Storm ”Urduja”.
Two (2) roads in Leyte remain impassable due to damaged pavements and collapsed slope after Tropical Storm “Urduja” pummelled Eastern Visayas over the weekend.
Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Leyte Fourth District Engineer Lino Francisco C. Gonzales identified the following affected roads: Kinanga-Tungonan-Hotspring Road in Barangay Lim-ao, Kananga and Libungao-Matag-ob-Palompon Road in Barangay Candelaria which has collapsed slope/slope protection and cut/drop pavements.
