DPWH Improves Disaster Preparedness in Dipaculao, Aurora

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has constructed a multi-purpose building in Dipaculao, Aurora to improve the disaster readiness and emergency management of residents in times of calamities.

In a report submitted to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan and Undersecretary Roberto R. Bernardo, DPWH Regional Office 3 Director Roseller A. Tolentino said that the completed building structure in the amount of P34.7 million is located in the elevated area of the coastal barangay of Ipil, which is one of the flood-prone areas in the Municipality of Dipaculao.

Access Road Uplifts Living Condition of Fishing Community in Misamis Occidental

Fishermen are now reaping the benefits of an access road constructed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) leading to the Community Fish Landing Center in the Municipality of Baliangao, Misamis Occidental.

Implemented by DPWH Misamis Occidental 1st District Engineering Office, the project covers the construction of 1,491.8 square meters of portland concrete cement pavement, earthworks, drainage, and slope protection structure all the way to the coast of Barangay Punta Miray.

Citing reports submitted by Region 8 Director Edgar B. Tabacon, DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan said that the 7.5-kilometer access road project started in 2018 and implemented in five (5) phases under multi-year program is finally complete.
