Widened Road Network Promotes Tourism in Lake Sebu, South Cotabato

Convenient and hassle-free travel is now enjoyed by sightseers heading to Lake Sebu with the newly-widened portion of Surallah-Lake Sebu-Maitum Road, a project implemented by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in the province of South Cotabato.

The ₱51-million project covers the widening of a 1.21-kilometer road segment from two (2) lanes to four (4) lanes, with excavation works and drainage improvement.

Citing a report submitted by DPWH Region 10 Director Lilibeth N. Aparecio, DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan said that the project was carried out to provide a reliable road network that allows safe travel for locals, mostly belonging to the indigenous Subanen tribe.
