DPWH to Build Temporary Dormitories for Health Workers at Quezon Memorial Circle

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will start the construction of temporary dormitories for healthcare workers on the first week of June at Quezon Memorial Circle in Quezon City.

Secretary Mark A. Villar said that the proposed ‘We Heal as One Offsite Dormitory’ by the DPWH Task Force to Facilitate Augmentation of Local/National Health Facility aptly located at Quezon Memorial Circle is a much needed facility for healthcare workers to recharge the mind and body after a strenuous day at the frontlines of COVID-19.

DPWH Donates Manufactured Swabbing Test Booth to Pampanga’s Jose Lingad Memorial Hospital

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) donated one (1) unit of portable swabbing booth to Jose B. Lingad Memorial Hospital in San Fernando, Pampanga.

Secretary Mark A. Villar said that the donated swabbing booth with capability to test two (2) persons simultaneously was manufactured by the DPWH Bureau of Equipment (BOE) headed by Director Toribio Noel Ilao and delivered to the hospital in Central Luzon on May 30, 2020.

DPWH: BBB projects nationwide resume construction

In compliance to the construction safety guidelines released by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), infrastructure projects under the government’s Build, Build, Build Program in various places nationwide have recommenced that will fuel government’s bounce back plan to help the economy recover quickly.

DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar said that the continuation of civil works is vital in keeping up with economic growth, target completion dates and in minimizing additional cost due to delays.

Villar: Construction of NLEX Harbor Link resumes; target completion of R-10 Ramp moved to June 15

Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar said that the NLEX Corporation has resumed works on the NLEX Harbor Link Segment 10 R-10 Exit Ramp, following new DPWH protocols on construction activities.

“We are glad to announce that another flagship project, the R-10 Exit Ramp of NLEX Harbor Link, is now back on track and has resumed construction activities,” said Secretary Villar.

DPWH Aims May 25 Completion of Health Facility in Biñan, Laguna

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) quickly mobilized the conversion of Alonte Sports Arena in Biñan, Laguna in respond to the urgent and burgeoning need for healthcare facilities.

Citing a report from Undersecretary and DPWH Task Force for Augmentation of Health Facilities head Emil K. Sadain, Secretary Mark A. Villar said that the quarantine facility will have a total of 68 bed cubicles and will cater to patients from the province of Laguna and other areas from the Southern Tagalog Region.

DPWH Resumes Construction of Flagship Infra Projects in Metro Manila

Construction works on flagship projects of the Department of Public Works and Highways have resumed (DPWH) in the National Capital Region.

In his report to Secretary Mark A. Villar, DPWH Undersecretary Emil K. Sadain that civil works have resumes at Bonifacio Global City-Ortigas Center Link Road Project with the DPWH Unified Project Management Office (UPMO) operations strictly implementing the construction safety guidelines issued by the Secretary.
