DPWH: 5 roads closed; 7 with limited access due to flooding

Additional road closure was recorded in roads of Luzon due incessant rains spawned by the southwest monsoon and enhanced by Typhoon Fabian.

As of 6:00 pm, Saturday, July 24, 2021, Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar said that all lanes of Baguio-Bontoc Road at K0362+600, Busa Bridge in Sabangan, Mt. Province; Abra - Kalinga Road, K0489+900 in Gacab, Malibcong, Abra; Mindoro West Coastal Road, Pag-asa Section in Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro; and Manila Cavite Road K0015+(-207) - K0020+000.

Ongoing Agusan del Norte-Agusan del Sur Bypass Road Aids Local Farmers

An ongoing road project by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) aimed to connect Agusan del Norte to Agusan del Sur now ensures improved mobility for residents and farmers.

Secretary Mark A. Villar, citing a report from DPWH Regional Office 13, said that the NRJ-Mayor Democrito D Plaza II Avenue-Las Nieves-Sibagat Road Project will connect Butuan City, Agusan del Norte to the municipality of Sibagat, Agusan del Sur

The 45.34 kilometers project involves road opening, concreting, and construction of four (4) bridges and widening of the bypass road.

Advisory on Earthquake

In connection with the 6.7 Magnitude Earthquake that occurred 16 KM Southwest of Calatagan, Batangas on July 24, 2021 at 4:49 AM, all national roads and bridges in National Capital Region, Regions III, IV-A and IV-B are passable to all types of vehicles.

There has been no received report of damages as of this time on the effect of the earthquake with post-earthquake assessment on-going.
