DPWH to Repair EDSA, C5 Roads this Weekend

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will resume its weekend road repair on Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) and Circumferential Road 5 (C-5) in Quezon City starting 11 p.m., Friday, June 4, 2021 until 5 a.m., Monday, June 7, 2021.

DPWH – National Capital Region (NCR) Director Eric A. Ayapana said that with approval of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), repairs will resume at the northbound direction of EDSA, near corner Kaingin Road.

Expressway Connecting Tarlac-Cabanatuan Now 94 Percent Completed

The four (4)-lane 30 kilometer expressway project of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) connecting Tarlac City, Tarlac to Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija is now 94 percent completed.

Secretary Mark A. Villar said that the first 18 kilometer section of the ₱11.811 Billion Central Luzon Link Expressway (CLLEX) Project funded by loan agreement with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) will soon be accessible to motoring public.

Villar Helps Port Area Fire Victims

Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar stepped up in a big way to lend a helping hand to families affected by recent fire that razed several houses at Port Area in Manila.

Secretary Villar, thru his family’s Villar Sipag Foundation, took it upon himself in donating about 1,000 bags of grocery items for families left homeless by the May 26, 2021 blaze at 11th Street Railroad Drive under the jurisdiction of Barangay 650 behind the Philippine Red Cross office.

DPWH Launches New Flood Control Project in Alaminos City

Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar announced that residents of Alaminos City, Pangasinan will soon be less susceptible to flooding with the ongoing construction of a flood control project in Barangay Pogo.

“This 356-meter flood control project aims to mitigate the overflowing of Alaminos River not only to safeguard agricultural lands and products, but more importantly, to protect lives and properties of Pangasinense,” said Secretary Villar.

The Department of Public Works and Highway (DPWH) is ramping up the on-going construction of additional isolation facility to accommodate soaring of COVID-19 cases in Zamboanga City with construction of off-site modular hospital and pop-up dormitory for health workers to start this June.

DPWH Secretary and Isolation Czar Mark A. Villar said the on-going conversion of the old Zamboanga Convention Center in Pasonanca, Zamboanga City will provide additional isolation/quarantine facility for treatment of asymptomatic and moderate COVID-19 patients.

DPWH resumes road repair works in EDSA, C5

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will resume this 11 p.m., Friday, May 28, 2021, its road maintenance works in Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA) and Circumferential Road 5 (C-5), Quezon City this weekend.

Citing reports from DPWH – National Capital Region (NCR) Director Eric A. Ayapana, Secretary Mark A. Villar said that the road rehabilitation activities will be undertaken along northbound direction of EDSA, near corner Kaingin Road.
