DPWH Works for Protection of Mancatian Bridge in Porac, Pampanga

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has provided engineering solutions to stabilize both banks of Pasig-Potrero River and preserve the existing Mancatian Bridge in Porac, Pampanga.

DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar said that countermeasure projects are on-going that will restrain riverbed degradation and ensure safety by preventing the pile foundations of Mancatian Bridge along Angeles-Porac Road from being further exposed.

Secretary Villar added that protecting the bridge is vital in keeping Barangay Mancatian connected with the rest of Porac town.

A newly-concreted access road leading to the food processing areas in Allacapan, Cagayan has been completed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in support of furthering the export of quality “pasalubong” products from the town.

The DPWH Cagayan 2nd District Engineering Office (DEO) completed the P20-million upgrading to concrete of the 1.02 kilometers road with provision of canal structures and sidewalk facilities.

CLLEX up to Aliaga will Open this July

Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar expressed confidence that the Central Luzon Link Expressway (CLLEX) will be an efficient alternate route for the motoring public going to Nueva Ecija when it opens next month.

Despite work slowdown due to the pandemic, the first 18-kilometer segment of CLLEX will be of service to motorists from SCTEX/TPLEX connection in Tarlac City up to the intersection of Aliaga-Guimba Road in Aliaga, Nueva Ecija this July 2021, declared Secretary Villar.

3 FMRs to Benefit Farmers in Biliran Province

Easier transport of agricultural goods awaits local farmers of Biliran province once the construction of three (3) Farm to Market Roads (FMR) is done.

According to Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark A. Villar, the FMR project has a total length of 2.18-kilometers – a 830-meter FMR in Brgy. Matanggo to Sitio Patag, Brgy. Tabunan in the town of Almeria worth P12.5-million, 850-meter FMR along Barangay Catmon, and a 500--meter FMR in Barangay Cabungaan.

DPWH to Complete 66 COVID Hospital Rooms at the Lung Center this June

Public Works and Highways Secretary and Isolation Czar Mark A. Villar announced that the Lung Center of the Philippines will have additional rooms for management and treatment of covid-19 patients by the end of June.

Secretary Villar said that the DPWH Task Force to Facilitate Augmentation of Health Facilities is fast tracking the on-going construction five (5) cluster units of modular hospital facilitities for moderate to severe and critical cases at the Lung Center compound in Quezon Avenue, Quezon City.
